Three steps to participating in this generous community 

What is the Camino Love Fund?

Twice per year, starting in September 2023, pilgrims who fit the criteria for that round of applications can apply for funds to help them walk the Camino.  (Criteria will be set 6 months in advance and posted on this site) The fund is administered by Alysa Golden and three other women.  In time, we are hoping to make this fund a Charitable Organization, providing support to hundreds of pilgrims each year. 

We envision making the Way more comfortable with everything from a good meal to a night in a private room.  We see helping to pay for unforeseen medical expenses or making it possible for someone to get on a flight to reach the start of their Camino.

This Buy and Sell Community is set up to make the fund possible.  I hope it enriches your Camino experience, before, during and after you walk.

Where exactly does my donation go?

At this time...

50% of all money donated will go directly into the fund to support pilgrims. 

10% goes to payment portal fees. 

10% goes to compensating anyone who is administrating the site - currently Alysa Golden. 

30% goes to help Alysa to walk the Camino in 2024.

At this time, the site is set up to support donations and not to take a piece of every sale.  I would prefer to keep the money collected on a "from the heart" basis, based on what our community can afford and what feels right. I hope everyone will see the donation as a necessary part of the structure of the site, without which it cannot continue.

September 2023 Applications are For...

Women over 50 who are walking a Camino for the first time in Spring/Summer 2024.  Applications will be available July 1, 2023 on this site and are due September 1, 2023.  Funding decisions will be made by September 30.
