Ready to get comfy having a conversation in Spanish? Me too!
In this Phase 2 Course, we will learn to converse in the areas we learned in phase 1.
Before each class, Hyla will select the most commonly used phrases and words that we learned in phase 1 for that week and present them in the Course Materials.
We will then review these specific phrases and words and build conversations from those phrases and words.
We will get better at speaking, listening for words we know and responding.
This is the next step to being able to be confident in our Woaca the Camino Spanish.
As a reminder, here are the topics we learned in phase 1.
Week 1 - Eat
We will learn how to ask for what we want, how to get a seat, find out when a restaurant opens and names for commonly eaten items.
Week 2 - Sleep
This week will be all things accommodation. Woacas need our rest!
Week 3 - Health on the Camino
Phrases and conversation related to cleaning self , taking care of your physical needs, getting help for your body and booking a much needed massage.
Week 4 - Directions
Where to go? How to find the Camino again? How to say "I'm lost". Where is the nearest church, restaurant, town, etc.
Week 5 - Make Friends
How to be polite and friendly and spread our Woaca sunshine in Spanish.
Week 6 - Special Requests
This week is reserved for special requests. We will give Hyla our requests ahead of time and she can craft a class around them.
Classes start Wednesday April 30
12:00-1:00 EST
Each registration includes:
- Weekly 1 hour live zoom class where we will learn words, phrases and responses and have lots of time to practice what we learn.
- A recording of the class in case you can't attend live.
- A summary video of just phrases and words with the text under them so we can practice reading and talking.
- A summary pdf of all of the phrases and words we learn in that week.
- A private community for all of us Spanish learners where we can ask each other questions, celebrate our progress or practice further.
Even if you can't go to the classes in person, you will get everything included here so you will still be able to join in the community and learn everything!
